I got placed at an agency to freelance for a few weeks by Creative Circle. Im not ‘on call’ so im only charging for the hours im actually working. Why there is so much misunderstanding between job posts related to Data Analyst and Data Scientist role ?

Most of the time while applying for Data Analyst role too under the job description they mention mandatory skills as ML/AI.

I mean if one knows ML and has hands-on experience on it, won't he apply for the Data Scientist role!

Because of this misunderstanding, I believe many Data Analysts have to suffer...

Can anyone help me understand what would be an ideal role and/or company if I am interested in a bit of data science and a bit of consulting?
I like helping clients with data based solutions and simplifying difficult algorithms for them, hence doing a bit of both.

In my little experience, I have seen consulting people not very well equipped with data science solutions and data science people focusing on creating solutions but working at the backend of a problem only.
