Capgemini I joined sometime back at D1 level , I do technical work most of time like coding, dev, testing etc.
I have worked a lot in my 14 years and still have required skills needed for the work. I don't have energy to slog any further. Moreover I get anxiety when I see junior level people doing same work as me and earning more or same.
I feel cannot sit longer hrs due to back issues and other health issues and family commitments.
Can I change to management side without risking my job .

Since Vyvanse is released at a steady rate over time, my first thought was going from 60 to 70 mg there to gain some extra time. I just upped my dose from 40 to 50 for busy season and it definitely keeps me focused for longer. Almost too much longer...
I'll also supplement with caffeine sometimes - coffee in the morning, tea later in the day - and sometimes that seems to help.
I’ve got ADD, taken Addy plenty of times in college, but a doctor talked me out of getting an official script for it because he said “if you take this script, you will be on this drug for the rest of your life”
I actually stopped taking it after finals, and instead have been using Nootropics. I.e focus supplements. Of all the ones I’ve tried, Alpha Brain by Onnit is by far the best. Would highly recommend. Probably takes addy to the next level too. Try that. Best way to describe it, as Joe Rogan says, “words come easier”
I’m actually pretty surprised a doctor would condone short term use, considering it’s more likely to just get you high in the short term from my experience
Damn so many people in here think ADHD isn’t real? addy and Vyvanse probably are over prescribed but ADHD is a legit problem for a lot of people, my brain does not function correctly and my prescription helps
Same boat but mine does give adderall boosters to get me through night. Then I can’t sleep. So following for other people’s advice
Wow that is a lot of stimulant
If you need to take Adderall to do your job maybe that is a sign it’s time for a change.
Thank you M1. I just got through a 14 hour day and it was really nice to read that.
Have you talked with your psychiatrist about shifting the timing of your doses and what times of the day you tend to be most productive? While medication is an important piece, it psounds like you are looking for other tools/habits.
Maybe it’s creating a habit to spend the first hour of your workday to check emails, create a game plan, or “eat the frog” while you’re waiting for it to kick in. Alternatively, others find it helpful to take time at the end of your day to create a game plan for the next day. Obviously things change quick in busy season, so don’t get too in-detail and remember to be flexible.
Remember that although ADHD brains “toggle” between tasks quickly, you cannot truly multitask. Make a point of closing out of programs/tabs you aren’t using, and use blocked time on your calendar to hold yourself to tasks.
Wait you can toggle?lmao I just get severe executive dysfunction when I try and do that
Lol

Can you try taking the vyvanse later in the day? I am on 10mg. Luckily I don’t get sleepnissues j
Find a new doctor. At least for me, I’ve always lived in a state where I had to talk to psychiatrist anytime I wanted my meds to be adjusted. After the psychiatrist wrote the larger script, my GP had no issue filling it. I’ve lived in 4 states since being prescribed in college without issues. I’m currently prescribed 60mg a day of adderall. However, I’ve told my doctors that i take more (now 80-100) 5 days a week, sometimes 6 during busy season. I’m someone who hates it though. So if I’m not working, I don’t take it. I went 2 months without filling my prescription because of PTO and post 10/15 lull. I make sure to go to the gym and eat healthy. I think a majority of it comes down to how you carry yourself though. If your doctor knows you work in PA, they should understand. If you’re walking into his office weighing 130lbs though, he’s probably skeptical to give you more appetite suppressing drugs. To keep on weight, I drink 2-4 protein shakes a day with 45 grams of protein and force myself to eat at least one chicken breast. My GP and I have such a good relationship that when I asked about the health concerns of taking TRT with adderall, they told me they would start prescribing it so I didn’t have to go to a men’s health clinic and pay out of pocket (My T levels were at 350 at 25 so it’s not like I didn’t need it).
Same. I tried and nope.
I’d find a different provider who is invested in understanding what your lifestyle is like and what you need. I’m also at EY and started in audit - my doc (adhd specialist MD) spent a lot of time understanding my schedule and coaching me in how to manage the timing, demands, and meds. Keep trying!

Oh, good. The app settings don’t make a lot of sense so it’s hard to figure out how to make bowls just joinable.
