Surprisingly, I have it but it's because my work is pretty good and I work in a more research-focused role so deadines are not as crazy. I have been a bit more firm about not working late etc, which has also helped and I've voiced when I'm frustrated/stressed etc. I do have a manager who is more understanding than most, so that helps. Other depts are more stressed for sure.

I've found that being able to WFH has helped in this area tremendously. Having more freedom and flexibility actually ends up making me more productive, yet I feel like I have a better balance.

Hasn't your screen on time increased due to WFH?

I've stayed with the same company for two years. They know me. We have a good relationship. They also know what I'm capable of and have stopped trying to work me to death.

If you are expert in what you do, and you love your job then your WLB will be good in any company.

You should, but how this is related to WLB? I don't know what is your definition of growth which is not possible with WLB. Remember what your oldest family members say " Healthy mind can only reside in a healthy body" How you will grow if you don't have proper WLB?. If you don't believe that, you are actually a disaster for the company thinking you are doing good, but actually you will either leave the company soon or you will prompt another people to leave the company if you impose this to other.

My employer is very adamant about giving us a good WLB. We have every other Friday off in the summer and no meetings are allowed on Fridays.

Which company is this?

I work directly with the client and they are extremely punctual about time. No weekend work. Noone ever asks you to extend beyond 9 hours. Deadlines are very realistic.

Previously were a Tax Sr Manager at diff Big4.
