Additional Posts in In-House Counsel

I have an interview with a GC tomorrow. I’ve already interviewed with the person I’d report to. What types of questions should I ask them? Should I recycle the questions I used in my previous interview? The last interview went over and I felt I had a good sense of the role and had all of my questions answered..

Well-traveled people: what seem like the best major market cities to live in with access to great in-house jobs (FAANG, adjacent companies, etc.). Some markets seem like really fun places to live but seem insanely expensive (San Fran, DC). Others seem like great comp to cost of living ratios but you seem like you’d basically be in a boring suburb (Raleigh, etc.) or have major drawbacks (arctic weather in Chicago, etc.). Maybe I’m totally off base though. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Had two initial interviews for a litigation counsel job with two large companies in the last few weeks, got rejected by both companies…. Random question-
My company works with influencers who are independent contractors. However they are not managed by anyone on HR and never have been. Sorry for cross-post but is in-house a feasible exit option for attorneys with the federal government? Let me preface this by saying that this is super premature as I just got the tentative offer from the government for a position focusing on labor and employment litigation before the EEOC, but I wanted to plan ahead and see what my options were down the road if I'm looking for a bigger paycheck. I'm currently 13 YOE in private practice at mostly small/mid size firms.
