I just graduated 1.5yrs ago, but have gratefully made my way into a Sr. Accountant position at a ~120 saas company managing books, p&ls, 606 rev recs, powerbi analytics, & all things finance for our 20MM of revenue. I feel like I’ve already reached my growth limit here and the next position up is my boss’s CFO position. I’m trying to break into big tech as a fin. analyst or rev rec specialist, but they always want someone with more experience. What should I do / any recommendations? 70k comp.
Sorry I haven't but I saw this post and just had to chime in: do the best you can to set low expectations about this place (without sacrificing your interview performance, of course). Getting jerked around for 2 whole years should not be brushed aside. If it were me, I woulnd't even have applied for another position in your situation, but since you're already in it finish strong but know that it's no loss if you don't get it.
Jeez. Two years!? I've heard their interview processes can be really long and annoying, but that's insane!
