Currently a manager, reporting to VP. There’s a need to fill an open director position, who I would report to instead of directly to VP. I don’t meet the years of experience in the posting, but I have been doing the requirements of that posting in my D2D. I do plan on going to B-school PT starting next year. On one hand I can see how working under a director can be beneficial, where I can learn from their experience and have more time to focus more on my growth while in school. Shoot my shot?

So I've been applying for jobs with various brands who are owned by the same parent company. They are all separate brands but owned by the same company. All my applications are under one login with the parent company's website. My question is, can HR and recruiters from the different brands see all my open applications (including those with the other brands) or just the ones that concern the brand they work for?

I've been at my company just a little over 8 months and I've got an issue with a colleague who is viewed as a respected resource. She's already had issues with freelancers that they've been fine to let go. She recently hired a new girl that's an exact copy & not someone who works above me. Started grilling me on her first week about my work and they've both been putting forth incorrect info for clients. I've told them they're flat out wrong. They don't listen. Do I let them fail or push to help?

For 5 years I basically had 10 frequent clients. Now those clients have brought me an average of two each, and now I have 30 constant clients and a bunch of clientele in my agency. It's true that serious, responsible, and consistent work pays off, let's say that I no longer worry about selling, practically, the houses that I show sell themselves.

Hoping this doesn’t turn controversial. Should I be teaching my young kids to read Quran in Arabic (so learn a new language just to read Quran but no value otherwise), or skip Arabic and have them read transliteration (so like Alhamdu lilahi) or third option to just read in English the translation where they will actually understand? I mean, I spend 100 dollars a week on a tutor to teach them Arabic. My parents spent thousands and I can barely read it now and prefer transliteration.thoughts?

Anyone feel as if it’s hard to stay with a company when you’re the only one of color? (&young) I’ve work for 3 companies in past 5 years and have yet to make meaningful colleague relationships.
