🙋🏻♂️, only pros no cons. I have more energy throughout the day and I’m in great shape.
I did that before I got staffed on my current project. I did it in the am around 6:30 and helped me get energy for the day and then at night around 7 and it helped me go to bed feeling awesome. Biggest con is having to shower twice lol
Con was fatigue kicked in right before lunch usually. A bit sluggish on some of those early calls but good after 2-3PM
I like pairing an "intense" workout in the AM with something milder in the PM (otherwise I can't fall asleep). E.g. Peloton Bike Bootcamp in the AM, yoga in PM

I do it during the spring/summer.
Pros: Great for dropping weight and it helps me suppress appetite. My cardio on its own in the morning is genymore effective.
Cons: More time consuming, more laundry and it can be difficult to schedule.
It was easy this year though
Yes, the laundry!
Did 2 a days after my engagement ended. I did cardio and major muscle movements in the morning and then another round of cardio and minor muscles in the evening. Downside is twice as much laundry and it does kick your ass. Upside is better gains and not feeling rushed.

I used to while I was in the army. Was very fit and had more energy throughout the day. The more active I was, the more productive I was which is weird. But now I only work out once and half as hard. Feeling very sluggish
I try to run in the morning on an empty stomach and lift towards the evening. It doesn’t always happen with work but wasn’t really feasible with the travel schedule.
Does getting up from the couch and getting into it count?

When I lived in dc and was a little younger, I would bike to our tysons corner office every day. 20 miles each way; around 2200 calories burned daily.
Was super happy with the whole endeavor.

For some reason, my response isn’t showing up in the feed. But the gist is that I showered and changed in the gym at the PwC office.
I did two-a-days at Orange Theory for a while when I was trying to finally kick weight I’d been harboring after having my kids. Went to a 5am and a 4:30pm class. Pro: got the old bod back, Con: had to ice my old lady knees a lot.
I do, but the question is are the workouts similar. If it’s an hour in the morning, probably 30-45 min late in the day.
I used to work out twice a day pre-covid. Did it for a year. It was fun, morning do cardio or HIIT then lunch, weight lift (25 YO Petite Woman). Make sure I have a good breakfast and lunch. I got better sleep back then with this routine
I swim twice a day 2, sometimes 3, times a week, 4:30-6:00am and 6:00-7:30pm with my swim team.
The biggest pros are I drop weight to my target zone quite quickly doing so and can indulge in one of my favorite pastimes, eating food, with no regrets.
By far the biggest con is being tired all day from lack of sleep, especially in the afternoon. I get up at 3:45am for morning practice and get home for the night around 8:45/9:00pm with no nap during the day.

No however I can provide input on the none a days I’ve been doing since Covid
On the weekends, I go from OTF to yoga or Pilates reformer. On Wednesdays, I try for OTF in the AM and barre in the PM.
I used to do 2 workouts a day (or one workout of 2+ hours) in grad school. I loved it for the stress relief, but was constantly in pain and was getting sick a lot. I still work out 3-4x per week, but have added more ways to manage stress (meditating, cooking, taking walks, doing restorative yoga), and that has helped me feel my best. Just another perspective, but I would only do 2x per day workouts if I was training for a race or similar.
At my previous job I used to do 2x a day, morning was the main workout, evening was lighter and mostly stretching. Now I just do both in the evenings.
I do but only 3x a week. The other 2 days I workout 1x and rest either 1 full day or 2 a week depending on how I’m feeling. I can make the time for it 3x a week but more than that I just cannot balance with my engagement. You don’t have to start 2x everyday. Try it 2x a week and go from there
