I currently have experience in multifamily acquisitions. How hard is it to transition to a role that focuses on office, hospitality, and retail which utilize Argus?

Also, how hard is it to learn underwriting operating companies given my experience is underwriting at the property level?

My husband feels stuck in his current role as a Warehouse Manager (stagnation/no challenges). Any tips on what could give him an edge when applying? Any courses or certifications?

Hi ladies, has anyone here had any luck or have any advice about asking for a raise ~6 months after starting a job? For reference, I’m in an entry level position at a large agency and have friends/colleagues in my role that I know are making $10-15K more. Some negotiated higher from the start, others brought competing offers to the table and the agency asked them to stay, etc. Not sure that I want to go there but I just feel overworked and underpaid and wonder how I can best approach this convo.

I love my job and the people I work with, but there’s one thing that really bothers me: the lack of diversity. Sometimes when I walk into the office and see everyone else around me as the only POC, it feels kind of weird. I don’t think anyone here has ever said anything racist or sexist to me personally, but I don’t feel comfortable talking about these issues with anyone because they might take it personally and then things could get awkward between us.

I like public accounting but hate the hours - but it seems like the only option in our field if you want 40 hours is to be a straight up A/R or A/P clerk, bookkeeper etc. how do you just go get a full time job? I’m sick of acting like I don’t work enough in my field when in reality we are working far past FULL TIME hours? All my friends have 40 hour a week jobs or they’re paid for their overtime (they’re not in accounting or tax- completely different industries). Im ready to wait tables

After joining they have asked me to collect laptop from office. When i went, the laptop was not in a great condition and was refurbished. I am guessing it was used almost 3 to 4 years before me.
