What do people say in interviews when they switch from to the same role from their current company to a new company? Mainly doing it for increase in comp but always get stuck when recruiters ask “why do you want to make the switch?” Do I be honest?
I really want to work at Google. Have a solid resume and applying for things that seem well within my means and experience. I have a referral as well. Does anyone have any other tips to land an interview? Should I be reaching out to recruiters?
Hi, I cleared techinical interview at JP Morgan recently. I received a call from HR for salary discussion. Currently I hold 2 offers with 8 LPA and asked HR for 10LPA. HR responded back saying that he would get back to me, but he did not. It’s been 4 days. I’m worried. Can someone pls advice? Did I demand more for my experience? Recieved an offer from Cap Invent at SC, numbers are underwhelming but they're claiming it's an out of band offer, OTE just about matches my existing comp. I'm interim lead of the DigStrat practice at my current firm (similar IT services firm) so would be stepping down to into a team member role at Invent. Any advice, if they really wanted me would they be offering a decent uplift?
I’m pursing my bachelors in management information systems with a minor in project management. Im set to graduate in April of this year. How do I go about getting an entry level project management position? I have unofficial experience with my current company but due to my race I will never officially be offered the position.
I’m surprised to see so many open HR roles that require the hire to work on-site versus hybrid or remote. You’d think that after two years of the pandemic, companies would get on board and see how unnecessary it is for HR professionals to perform their jobs fully in person.
Need to get an idea on how much Capgemini pay to their senior manager role in NYC. Do they give joining bonus also?
Deloitte moms, I’m thinking about asking for an internal role after maternity leave. I’ve only been at the company for 2 years (total of 10 YOE). How do I navigate this?
Thinking about moving to Astoria - anyone lived in both Manhattan and Astoria and can share some pros and cons? (I’m fully WFH/26/not super big on going out/ reside in West Village)
Advice for gearing up for the technical interview with regards to Data & Analytics at another Big Four firm. This is for a senior role.

I moved to an AmLaw 200 (125, more accurately) about 6 months ago. I'm a midlevel corporate associate. How much time do I need to put in before I can realistically look for a Cravath/Milbank scale remote position? (I don't live in a big market and don't want to). If it still matters, I graduated top of my class at a 3rd tier law school.
What would you choose? 1. Good brand + good work culture + good manager + permanent WFH until promotion 2. lesser brand + 50% hike + seemingly good work culture + work from office + no idea about manager or team culture
Cringiest hot mic 🎙 moment of WFH? I was on a webex and a phone call at the same time. The phone call was to provide so not very nice feedback about a peer. Turns out I was not muted in the meeting and said peer was on the webex. 😳
I once found out my male counterpart made more than me. Because of this, I went to my boss and asked for a raise. His response was to tell me it’s a fireable offense to know someone else’s salary, that witnesses to murders get killed for a reason, and that he doesn’t believe in affirmative action. I know all of that is bullshit but he did say one thing that I’m now wondering, is this true? He said—never ask for a raise because your male counterpart makes more, ask for one because you deserve it.
Any crossfitters in here? Would love to see some of the wods you’ve done this year to inspire my next few
How has Covid impacted your fringe benefits? Travel perks (miles, points, per diem, meals, client events, etc.) we’re a major selling point in joining my firm. Our travel has been all but slashed, but I’m not seeing any consolidations to make up for these lost benefits.
Hey there! Anyone knows anything about Anomaly Amsterdam? Work culture? Salaries? Thank you!
What a great conversation so far! I’m headed to a couple meetings but will check back in soon - keep the questions coming!
For the love of God, partners, PUSH BACK ON UNREALISTIC DEADLINES FROM CLIENTS. They have no concept of how long it takes to do things. We can’t get the specialists to review on time. We are all dying.
When are intraoffice relationships wrong? What would be the “crossing the line” point independence wise, and/or professional wise?
Hello fishes, How many days does Deutsche Bank HR take to roll out the offer letter? One of my close friends attended the interview on 24th of January. The next day got a call from the HR team that they will roll out the offer letter very soon but 26th Jan. being a holiday, she informed my friend to wait for some days. Now my friend who is waiting for the offer letter wants to know when she can expect the offer letter and she can proceed for putting her paper in her current organisation.
Do you get the return offer then negotiate the group? Or negotiate the group before getting the offer?
Maybe I’m off base here but seems like EY kept a bunch of low performers through year end to justify keeping everyone’s pay stagnant for FY21 that will be around after these supposed layoffs, cause now they are canning a bunch of people and it’s not like things are any better now than they were in June...anyone disagree?
Does anyone work at hubspot that would be willing to help with a referral? Looking to apply as an account executive! 5 YOE, Thank you.
What is the Manager Level at Charles Schwab?
I just noticed that last Friday night I accidentally texted my dinner order to my dad rather than my husband. So glad I wasn’t in the middle of any other conversation with my husband at that point 😳😄

What is getting me through busy season: wake up at 6:30 to get an hour of exercise in no matter what, wallow in self-pity every 2 hrs for 5 mins, 30 mins no screen dinner. But most importantly, job interviews through out the week to get out of public accounting.
