Anyone in cyber security consulting at big 4? What's the long term potential for the field, and what skills does it play on the most?

I work in C&P at PwC and this practice is expected to grow aggressively in the next few years

Well the cyber security assessments coming from the big 4 would really be more on the business risk side... and less the hardcore IT side. Is that what you're referring to?

Well EY has something called the Advanced Security Center for consultants who have knowledge in network and application security. So depending on the practice it can get pretty technical.

I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!

LEK 🐠: if I switched to LEK after 1.5 years at another consulting firm, would I completely reset to entry level or would I be able to get offered an AC role or at least come in as an associate on track for a promo within a year (as opposed to having to complete the whole associate tenure like campus hires)?

I manage programs at multiple hospital across the state. I’ve been doing this with much success for >10yrs (I’m the long standing top performer). When my boss was elevated to Sr Director over many depts, we were promised a manager role would open. That FTE was given to another dept. I have an interview with another division in the same org, it would be lateral move but a growing division. How can i leverage that for a leadership position in my current area? Or should I move on?

Hi all. I am licensed in life, accident and health and am looking for new opportunities. I’ve been working in employee benefits in a small brokerage firm on a book of business of over 400 clients, I’m the only account manager. We’ve had 100% employer retention since I’ve been here. I am a high performer, but not sure I’m valued much at all . I want to reach the top and become partner in my career ; this is why I went to work for a small firm. My boss favors others when I do the most work!!

Is it possible to do a secondment within the firm in the future if i wanted to do that?

I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director l, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

I'm so stressed and nearing my limit 😪. My design partner for several years now, loves to pretend she's the CD and markup my work. Historically I've let it slide because she has good suggestions. But lately she outright changes my copy and tells me later. I'm easygoing and they're good suggestions so I try to ignore but its getting worse and borderline disrespectful. We work exclusively together so if I rock the boat its going to get even more uncomfortable. What would you do?

But if I want to apply to a third job, will it still be under her referral or do I need a new referral? The first two jobs I applied for were through talent community as I normally would without a referral. Help, I’m so lost :(
