What technical skills are in demand or upcoming in Canada based on your experience?

Going to be finishing my Data Science masters soon. Thinking a lot about my future, if it is worth staying in agency or if I should just move to tech companies. For people who work in agencies, do you really use data science? By data science, I mean things that are not reporting and actually doing predictive modeling/ML. Do agencies even hire data scientists? Or it just falls under the general analytics roles.

KPMG 🇨🇦 , looking to get your perspective here: Just saw two roles in the Montreal Office, which I think I’d be a good fit based on my background. However, (i) I don’t speak French (it’s not stated as a requirement but I suppose there’s likely a preference for French speakers (ii) Have never lived in Montreal before and I am wondering if it’ll be worth a move from Toronto and (iii) If I even have a chance to come in at Manager level considering I have no prior consulting experience.

I'm currently the Staffing Specialist at my company. I've only been in the field and in my position for 9 months and plan to take the SHRM-CP test in the fall. While I feel confident in what I do, I don't feel so confident in my overall knowledge of HR.

Anybody out here know of any “development programs” for mid career professionals looking to transition to sales? Have a data/analytics b/g., but I’m much more social than a “typical” data/analytics person. I graduated with my MBA in finance in 2020 and began working at a bank as a Management Trainee. 2 years later, I am an assistant to a financial advisor studying to become a financial advisor. However, I have to do this on MY time and not the bank's.

Likely getting an offer soon - already have planned vacation starting Tuesday until the new year. Do I give notice before I get the written offer/background check so I can leave before holidays but risk offboarding during vacation or give notice my first day back? Is there anyone who became an architect without experience as software engineer? I currently work as solutions analyst and my goal is to be a solutions architect. Is it possible without having software engineering experience?

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
