Does anyone have any advise when it comes to navigating getting help and your firm. I had a tough month mentally. But I reached out to my local bar’s LAP. I’m starting the process of seeing a therapist. But my dreads still here. I’m panicking about being short on hours, falling behind on my cases and explaining to my boss I know I’m behind at work but I am working on it. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Anxious *non*-depressive here — what treatments and medications are available and effective?

I get a horribly anxious reaction to the thought of interactions that I need to have as part of the normal course of my job. It’s plain, irrational fear, and I know it’s holding me back. But I’m generally otherwise happy.

Has anyone ever felt so anxious and depressed they couldn’t sleep all night? Body tense and uncontrollable shaking? I woke up in the middle of the night and was pacing back and forth in my room, feeling like I was about to suffocate. I haven’t felt this bad in a LONG time. And it terrified me. What makes me sad is that its really just my negative anxious thoughts that caused it.

How long should you quarantine before visiting parents? I follow all the rules (mask, 6 feet, etc) but have also started going out to restaurants, going back to the gym, getting occasional drinks outside, etc. Is it sufficient for me to just quarantine for a couple of days and get tested before seeing them? Most guidelines from the CDC focus on what to do if you’ve been around someone who’s exposed, not what to do in general.

Professionally during covid: I’m actually the worst version of myself

New to therapy question - I had a consultation with a therapist last week where I unpacked all the shit I kind of want to work on / talked about my life / background. Am I supposed to come to the next meeting with an agenda / stuff I want to talk about or should I expect that therapist to lead?
