Anyone in NYC who has a friendly, small dog (ideally non-shedding) and needs a dog sitter once in a while?

😂😂😂 A dog sitter for only non-shedding, clean, won’t mess up my pristine apartment and furniture, dogs. I’d never trust my pet to someone like this!

What is so funny

Try Wag!, swifto, Pooch Ventures or Rover

Thank you!

I have a Pekingese / Chihuahua mix that you can walk bi-weekly but you have to pay me $20.

funny

Try Rover or Wags! I use Rover and have gotten to look after other peoples dogs. I know you’re not looking to get compensated so if you offer dog sitting or walking services at a low rate, you’ll get plenty of requests!

like

99% of sitters on Rover are either current pet owners or have looked after pets in the past. They are also vetted through reviews from the pet owners. So as a pet owner you will have plenty of qualified people to choose from based on the reviews that they have. Use your best judgement as you would anywhere else

That sounds like the perfect apartment dog…probably barks a lot, otherwise their owner would have no end of friends/family who would help dog sit

I’m following this post because I want to dog sit now and then too - I don’t mind shedding dogs as long as they aren’t on my furniture!

If you don’t mind shedding, you can try fostering! There’s fewer people available to foster for a lot of foster based rescues right now so they aren’t able to pull as many dogs from their out of state shelter partners in the south.

When I fostered, only dogs that are assessed to be good with people were considered for transport and it’s usually recommended to limit how much space they had access to while they decompress (I had a crate and pen set up in my <500sqft apt). The only dog that eventually broke my “off furniture” rule was a long term foster that I had for almost 6mo! She was super cute and hard to say no to 😬, usually foster placements are for 2-4 weeks, but there’s usually a need for weekend or shorter fosters esp with people going back to office

Hi I have a 16 lbs shihpoo and need a sitter in the next few weeks! I’m in dumbo..are you near by?

I have a manager from another team who micromanages nearly everything I do. She seems to intentionally question my work and throw blame on me in front of other coworkers when it’s unwarranted. Unfortunately, I’m left trying to defend myself on a regular basis. HR and my manager have been involved, but the manager’s behavior stays that same. What can I do to help get the target off my back?

Just stopping by to say that after trying a handful of different things, I successfully cut my dosage down a bit (while maintaining similar focus at work) by taking a week-long vacation and not taking any Adderall. My body was starting to build up a tolerance to my meds, but the “detox” timed with a vacation has been working so far!

Many of us are trapped in positions that are not in alignment with our values and work abilities. Much like using "superman" to drive a vehicle and deliver mail. You not allowed to fly, use your xray vision or strength. We are confined to live in square box when we are so much more than the shape of the box. I'm not saying quit your job. But atleast explore what makes your tick: what excites you and where you excel.

Considering a job offer in nyc coming from the south. Making about 400k here and we live very well but won’t lie - life’s quite boring here. Have an offer in nyc (my fave) for 500k. SO will probably stay around his 200k comp. 300k of my 500k is guaranteed - the rest is bonus which I am 50/50 on depending on how the company does. We’re 30s and thinking of starting a family. Don’t want to deal with commute so thinking Manhattan. Worried about nyc COL. Should I take it? We have about 1M saved fwiw
