When your consultant level report decides to "proactively build our client relationship" by sending your work-in-progress pricing sheet to the client a month before the submission date:
Can y’all recommend any pants to be worn with booties (e.g., Blondo) for a business casual look? Trying to find ways to avoid carrying an extra pair of shoes to the client each day during winter
Thoughts on wearing Apple Watch to client? Is it professional enough, does the band matter? Just wanted to get the fam's thoughts. Thanks!
Has anyone been selected for a project but kicked out immediately after a team conversation you had before even being able to claim hours on that new project? If so, what is your story and why were u kicked out?
I have two contract offers: One is about Data Management/Quality project for 6 months, the pay is 5000£ per month, the other is product data scientist for an early stage startup based in San Francisco for 4 months, the pay is a lot lot less (less than 1000£ per month). Tbh, I am not a big fan of data management, and I totally see myself doing product analytics which is becoming a hot skill in DS field. Is it stupid to turn down the first offer and accept the second one? I would love some advice
Hi fishes! To any fellow FP&A ladies in the room: Just joined an FP&A team with no prior FP&A experience... What makes a strong, high performing FP&A analyst? My background is in project management for finance, model governance and RRP consulting; graduated business administration, major in finance. Thanks!
I’ve been on the bench for months. Finally getting on a project and I’m super anxious on the start day. Any tips to get back in the groove/rhythm.
Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.
Hi y’all. So I haven’t technically onboarded for my firm yet, I’m suppose to start in 3 weeks. One of the projects I’m going to be put on requested to have a little interview with people of the team so I had mine today. The “interviewer” didn’t really seem to think I was qualified for this project at the end of the conversation (agree to disagree with him on that). Regardless, am I in trouble for not fitting his criteria/selling myself enough…kinda worried on my manager’s response….
I’m 30 years old and have been running my own (small) agency over the past two years, working with local businesses. I’ve got a solid book of client and spec work, with creative ad copy. I’ve also written for Sports Illustrated, so I can write anything from articles to ad copy. Before that, I worked in communications at a few law firms. Now I’m looking to work at an ad agency as a copywriter. Honest question: is it a reach to pursue that? And, if it isn’t a reach, do I apply for entry-level?
Help. My supervisor and I work closely together on our project. Partner and SM have told us directly they want me more visible, to build a brand with client, etc. But when I raise my hand to take things on (drive meetings, sub initiatives etc), manager refuses to give up any of the “higher visibility” work so that, in his words, he does not risk himself falling out of the spotlight, he wants to be the “go to”. It’s not that I am not capable (lots of great feedback from him and Partner/SM) -
How do I transition into project management (outside of Deloitte) from advisory? Not loving this job, been here two years.Ultimately would like to incorporate my creative side with project management
TFW the client takes away your tools written in the contract, but your leadership is dragging their feet on the change order. *wears this to team dinner*
My project is gonna miss it’s deadline cause the CD that needs to review it is non responsive to emails, declines my meeting invites or says they’ll “get to it when I can”. Starting to freak out since
Been an art director for 12 months but grown in my role significantly & my boss told me my next promo was “political”. I’m managing well over 1.5M a year, 9 brands. Functioning with little to no oversight on a day-to-day basis, w/ only strategy checkins with my CD. 100% client facing. I’m managing 1 direct report and from 2-8 copy and art freelancers at any time. I feel like all my stretch goals are ACD focused. Yet still need SAD before ACD. Does this sound like an art director? Pharma agency.
Working as generalist technology delivery manager and finding it hard to exit. I have done little bit of everything like architecture, project management, financials...
My client got F'ed over by one of their employees failing to disclose some things to the SEC I caught it brought it to the clients attention now I'm stuck doing diligence on over 100 employees. I keep catching things. I feel like I'm creating more issues for the clients but at the same time I'm protecting the firm as a whole which they're thankful for. Do I have anything to worry about by finding all these problems?
I’ve been seeing this a lot more recently and just had to make a thread about it. I refuse to believe that anyone on here has actually been asked to work a 100hr week. People come onto this thread with legitimate questions and concerns and I just see people trying to scare them out of public which inevitably makes it worse for everyone else who sticks around. Even an 80 hour week is debatable and that is the absolute top. Stop trying to be an attention getter. We work, but not 24/7.
We recently had a child and now looking to do some recurring investment to secure his future (higher education, marriage, medical etc), looking to withdraw 15-17 years down the lane. What type of investments do you suggest which are good from long term perspective for kids ? Or investment for higher education fund!?

Anyone work at PNC bank as an FA? My nephew is thinking about taking a position there with 4 bank branches. Is it a good gig?
Is it normal for PwC to downgrade you from a sr position you applied on their job portal to a experienced associate? I was told I will be fast tracked and the offer they gave me is on par with the base salary of a SA. Seems like I can’t negotiate the position.
I feel as though the big 4 have so much administrative stuff to take care of cause we have the accounting arms, do MBB or boutique consulting firms have to worry about as many e-learnings & shit?
Can you create a new delta sky miles account and sign up for your companies fast track promotion challenge again if you didn’t achieve it last time? Or can they block you from doing so?
