Here are some questions I have:

What's a reasonable percentage of monthly net income to spend on rent in a HCOL city? Right now it looks it will be 37% but that seems high.
After clearing debt, 6 mo emergency fund, maxing 401k contributions, what's next? Mega backdoor Roth IRAs seem a little overwhelming, maybe something like a HYSA or just a trading account?

I cleared LTI all rounds and in HR discussion we came on mutual agreement for 16lpa .I have 7 years of experience and they gave me Specialist - Data Engineering(P3) role. And we agreed I will join with after 60 as I had to serve 60 days notice period. I was waiting for offer letter and when I received the offer letter I was shocked to see that CTC mentioned was 14LPA and joining date was only 15days from now ,which is way early.

Looking at houses around $800k. Just got introduced to the idea of a jumbo loan…. I have about $125,000 in equity in my current house, which will probably be closer to $100k by the time closing is done. My local lender is requiring 20% down on a jumbo loan, which I don’t have. My first question is—does anyone know of a lender who doesn’t require 20% on a jumbo? Second, I have about $100k equity in a rental property but lender requires 40% down on investment properties for a HELOC. Help!

Are there any groups at Salesforce that value developers? I'm in Q Branch and it baffles me how solution engineers make $30-$40k (I make $99k) more than me when I've been developing on the Salesforce platform for 8 years. I get that they are client facing but if it wasn't for my team and me, they wouldn't land as many big deals. I could make $140k elsewhere for context
