Have a 4 round loop interview for Sr. Product Manager at Amazon coming up through the MBA pathways program soon.
If I land it the trajectory of my life and that of my family changes but I'm starting to feel the pressure. I haven't had a lot of traction for job searching since I graduated in December so this is the best lead I have and I'm getting scared now.

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

AITA? I’ve had 11 1-star rides with Uber…

It’s time for me to move on from my back office/CBS job at EY. I’ve been able to get through to recruiter and hiring manager screening round with FAANG employers and some tech companies but never beyond that. How can I differentiate myself when I’m probably also up against our client facing colleagues in consulting. I have about 12 years experience (7 at EY doing the same thing).

Doma?
I wouldn't say it's worth it...they lowball on pay.
Just realized it wasn't Compass, but another company by the name of Calculate. Sorry guys.
Compass won’t go away, but they’re making enemies among brokers and the DOJ has its crosshairs on realtors.
Compass locks in realtors to long contracts with expensive break clauses and really only supports the top of the top with marketing dollars and support. If you’re not there, there’s a lot of churn when the contracts end. Compass also barely plays outside of high-end markets, so you have to wonder what’s going to happen when the market slows.
The DOJ thinks (rightfully) that realtors are a cartel that colludes to artificially inflate broker commissions. Try getting a broker to negotiate their commission down or sell FSBO and not offer standard buy-side commission. It’s almost impossible. What’s going to happen to Compass who has built a model on high-end sales with 2.5-3% commissions when realtors are forced to be more flexible on price?
There are better RE plays than compass.
Hmm thanks for sharing this!
I’m not sure who you mean by Compass. If you mean Compass Lexecon (Econ consulting) they are a great firm, esp the office in DC
Definitely not the same. They're talking about the Series G 8 billion dollar startup: https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/compassinc
