I’m applying to roles with 2 YOE but have 1.5 YOE - does that extra 6 months really make a difference in getting interviews?

I have 3 YOE (NetSuite consultant in NYC) and my base is 91K. I've been with the company for almost 2 years. Based on conversations with a colleague who left the firm, recent joiners, and recruiters for similar positions elsewhere, I have determined that I'm underpaid relative to my peers at my firm and the market overall.

I have been writing apps for about 5 years in various languages and have working with many other tools/frameworks on a non-consistent basis. A .NET/ES5/TS guy who understands DB/design, monolith arc. (made one), IoC, and basic design/programming principles. I understand microservice architecture but have never designed an app in it for work.
