People, please read about it before reporting me. I’m getting tired of getting account suspensions 3x a week

Enneagram categorized me as a “sexual 5"

I run into many more 1,3 and 6s in this biz. Although I am an 8

funny

What’s your reasoning?

I’m a 7 myself; I don’t know if there’s any correlation between consulting and enneagram type.

I feel like a lot of strategy consultants are super intense, aggressive, and relatively enjoy conflict. Also due to the nature of the job there wouldn’t be a lot of 9s. I think 7w8 are popular too due to the fact that we have to entertain, but also have strong opinions.

To summarize
1. Consulting inherently brings conflict (you’re bound to have intense clients) (8s)
2. You have to be very confident, driven, and good at entertaining (which attracts more 7s, 3s)

I am a 5w4 but more and more I find myself acting like an 8

I'm a 6w5 for sure!

You think most are 8’s? I would’ve imagined the majority would be 3’s, the achievers.

I’m a 7, but agree feel 8s are more like ENTJs which you find a lot in consulting

Depending on the person, there are moments when we reflect any one of the nine points. Also don’t forget, depends on whether you are stressed or relaxed, yet ascend and descend into different points depending on the moment. Successful MC types tend to fall into the types of 2, 6, 8 and 9 and their wings. MC types that do not seem to find longevity tend to be 1, 3, 4 and 7. Five can go either way depending on their work. 5’s are great risk people but get bogged down on the people oriented MC side. Great at delivery, not so much at sales. 3 and 8 tends to be what many people gravitate towards when self identifying. It speaks to their ideal self. High operating 8’s get the job done in a balanced and productive way, capable of making hard decisions that stand the test of time. Low operating 8’s for the most part, kind of get the job done, results don’t seem to survive over time and are loathed along with leaving a nasty bloody wake in their path.

I’m a true 8! However 2 was my second type. I believe it’s very accurate.

Between type 2,5,7

I’m a 2w3 and an ENTJ 😆 seems like they wouldn’t go together. What’s interesting is when 2s are “stressed” they become 8. When 8s are at their best their 2. I genuinely like helping people but can get confrontational like an 8.

Yeah it’s super interesting. What you become when you’re in stress or security is extremely important... especially in consulting. I’m a 9 and can be either a 6 or a 3 depending on what environment I’m in

Good morning let’s have a beautiful Thursday. Here is my question I want to somehow break into Asset Management and I am having a hard time doing it. I have 1-2 YOE and Finra Licenses SIE-6-63. In all honesty I just want a better pay and avoid taking calls all day, I’m fine with a few calls a day but back to back calls is exhausting. Thanks for any tips!

I love my job and the people I work with, but there’s one thing that really bothers me: the lack of diversity. Sometimes when I walk into the office and see everyone else around me as the only POC, it feels kind of weird. I don’t think anyone here has ever said anything racist or sexist to me personally, but I don’t feel comfortable talking about these issues with anyone because they might take it personally and then things could get awkward between us.

Hey guys, looking for birthday gift ideas for a long distance girlfriend. Been together 5 months, only seen each other really for 2 weeks 3 months ago. Been trying to think of a gift but coming up blank. She’s passionate about social impact, likes music (drake, edm etc), simple jewellery, and some luxury brands. Want it to be a bit personal but I’m terrible with gifts. Any help would be much appreciated!
