Breathing exercises. Try 5-7-8 technique. Breath in for 5 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, then breathe out slowly for 8 seconds. My therapist told me to do this several times a day. Don’t wait till you have anxiety.

Did IUI couple of times but failed. Not sure it works , fertility specialists are not that much interested in IUI but directly recommend IVF. For context am 39 , although have history of endometriosis and have a cyst in ovary do only 1 ovary is producing eggs. IVF seems little invasive and not sure if artificial babies are ethically correct . Just confused ...

Anyone here got diagnosed and treated as a teenager, eventually came off the medication and then started again as an adult? I hated the side effects from Vyvanse and Adderall, but wondering if the adjustment might be easier as an adult? Any experiences? My psychiatrist suggests I set up a 30 min appointment every time I need my ADHD medication refilled. I met with him the first couple of times but I feel its unnecessary given that I have been on the same dosage of Vyvanse for the last one year. I take medication on an as needed basis, so a 30 day supply lasts a couple of months.
Can doctors prescribe a years' prescription of these that I can refill every 30 or 60 days? Curious as to how it has worked for you.

Went through a professional diagnosis at a reputable local hospital and the results came back that I don’t have it as I scored too well on their testing measurements.

Normally one would be relieved, but I have a tough time buying it. It doesn’t explain my lack of focus, persistent daydreaming, zoning out of conversations, subpar short term memory, inability to sit perfectly still for stretches of time.

Do I go seek a second opinion?

I’m prescribed Ritalin XR 40mg and when I take it ~10AM I feel great (talkative + focused). Then around 4PM my head feels tight, eyes feel dry, I get monotone and sound depressed…

My psychiatrist recommended for me to try Ritalin. I’ve been on Dexedrine for a few months, and I’m not really having negative side effects.

What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since.
