Need advice...recently got married and will move to a different part of the country than my parents, however my parents are very emotionally attached and getting older so I get anxious when I think about leaving them and am worried about their health and me not getting to spend time with them.
Fishes, do you think putting down 50% of your monthly take home pay as mortgage + fees (HOA, insurance, tax etc) makes sense? Would you consider mortgage as savings? (Cont’d)

Culture and reputation of Ensemble Health?
Just heard from several friends there that Facebook / Meta is entering a hiring freeze. How is it going there? Is this a bad health indicator for the company? What's the employee morale levels following the announcement?
Has anyone here gotten diagnosed and treated for ADD as an adult? Did you go to your primary healthcare provider first or specialist? My house mate is encouraging me to get tested after being around me more in quarantine. I'm afraid a doctor will think I'm drug-seeking.
Anyone regret leaving consulting before kids? I feel like the benefits and health insurance are unparalleled when having kids (assuming you have some WLB).
Antihud hud secretary, anti education education secretary and anti health health secretary... we dismantled the guvmnt alright...
Anyone else feel somewhat lost on what interests them long term in their career or if you’re even in the right realm of consulting? Any advice on how I can reflect and figure this out? Context - I applied for any open business analyst position in my city after graduating and ended up in healthcare consulting. I don’t love or hate it. I get the work done and I learn a lot about the healthcare industry but I’m not the most passionate about the work/industry either.
Hmmm, my surgeon didn't tell me that a "platelet rich plasma" injection is considered experimental and insurance won't cover it. Run everything by the insurance droids first. That's on me. FML.
I recently made a big filter on what I’ll see on Linkedin and it can be incredibly inspiring seeing work from places and people you admire and not seeing lots of bs that messes with mental health and insecurities. Highly recommend doing that.
It’s time for health insurance enrollment. I live in Wisconsin/Milwaukee.. I don’t always struggle to pick the right provider. Any recommendations?
I am a clinical mental health counselor and a credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor and am ready to graduate Emory law in 2 weeks with my Juris Master in Health Care Law.
I'm ready for the concept of plant-based diets to really go mainstream in this country. It would do wonders for our health outcomes.
Working with a financial advisor who is trying to sell me on Indexed Universal Life Insurance (IUL) as an investment vehicle. Supposedly there’s no downside risk and 5-7% returns and it’s not taxed. It seems too good to be true and makes me raise an eyebrow. Wondering if anyone has any insights into this or if my advisor is taking me down a risky path.
Is there anyone on here who works in healthcare consulting at BKD? I have questions. Thanks!
I'm helping a friend find talent for a 🚀rocketship start-up. They have a really exciting role to join the internal Strategy team, working across the entire business driving growth. Amazing, amazing people/culture, great comp and benefits. Some details: looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, 100% remote with occasional travel to London, NYC, SF, need someone who is a strong strategic thinker and bonus points if you've worked in consulting/banking/financial services. DM me for info!
Unpopular opinion - I find The Office to be wildly overrated. I've watched more than a number of episodes on Comedy Central, and can't get into it. Am I missing something? Does it have to be watched sequentially? Not sure what the fuss is about.
