FCB is 6 weeks for dads

Klick does not have a great FMLA plan for US employees. In Toronto there are required mandates, I think 3-6 mos. for women, unsure what the “parental leave” is for partners/spouses.
IPG/MRM has 12 weeks maternity and 6 weeks paternity
This info can be confusing to gather because often what we refer to in shorthand as “parental leave” includes multiple policies strung together including short term disability (which may vary depending on type of childbirth and be paid at different rates depending on tenure), parental leave itself (which may vary for birth parents or so-called primary caregivers), and other job-protection programs provided by state or federal government.
That said, we now have:
12 weeks fully paid for all parents (mothers, fathers, adoptive) +
6-8 weeks mostly paid STD for people who give birth (at least 6 weeks are fully paid and beyond that benefits vary based on delivery method and tenure)
So, anywhere from 12-20 weeks.
Men at Klick are offered a small paternity leave ... if you've been at the company for FIVE years. Otherwise you need to use your vacation time.
