First year in a litigation group stuck on a case where all they give me is data entry work all day (updating charts, excel sheets, etc). This work doesn’t seem to have any relevance to litigation skills whatsoever, and because this case is so much work (and the partner is territorial), it’s all I do all day, every day, even weekends. I wouldn’t mind the hours I was building relevant skills, but this is work the client’s HR dept should be doing. It’s frustrating and insulting. What should I do?

With my partner we are considering making a move to the countryside of Switzerland, with a gorgeous RE project offering incredible views on immaculate mountains and lake. However, it is far away, and will require 1h+ train/car commute vs. 10 min biking right now. We are scared it will bite us back at some point, although COVID helped w/ remote working being a new norm. The project will be done 2024, so I hope to have a more relax job by then. Any similar experience to share?

I hate interviews with homegrown PPMDs that have only had experience in their respective firm for 20+ years. I feel like they don’t value people with years of experience at multiple organizations and pull the whole “loyalty” card questioning job hopping every 3-5 years.
