If you're a student, you can probably get them discounted through the school's tech store. I bought mine through my university.
Agree with the people saying buy refurbished! You can also ask your job to see if they have any policies about selling computers to employees. I got mine for $650 from my previous job (2019 15-in MacBook Pro). If they replace computers every couple years they may have some that are eligible for purchase, and you might be able to negotiate price with them.
Yes, I work for our state government and the surplus store has big sales twice a year. Also check any local universities for surplus stores.
Check out Apple’s refurbished online store. Stock is always being updated so check back every couple of days. You can also purchase online through their EDU store - not sure if things have changed but I don’t think you even need a .edu email to purchase.
Can confirm you don’t need a student email anymore. Just need to go to the education store website 👍
When I was in my 20s I put it on a payment plan. They might not even charge you interest depending on your credit score. Additionally, paying it off quickly & on time can help improve your credit score. 🤷🏻♀️ Could be a way to get that laptop quick!
You can look up the Apple education discount and they give you 10% off with no verification
But you didn’t hear that from me
Ah damn! I should have done this! 😫😫 where were you!? Lol
I know a way you can make $50 by getting your picture taken
Let's normalize designers using non-mac hardware. The full adobe creative suite runs just as well on a windows computer (for far less money).
Yes, yes and triple yes

Buy used-ish ones on Facebook market!
Do you really need the mobility because the mac studio is amazing. Similar price much better machine.
Apple refurbished
Does it have to be MacBook Pro? Have you checked out Razer, Asus, or Dell Alienware?
If all your tools are web-based, you can get more out of a PC than a Mac.

Switch to Alienware
Best buy will approve you for interest free credit for up to 24 mos and u can buy it there. Not sure where you live but you can also try offerup
I think you can finance it through Apple! My SO did this for the new M1 MacBooks.
Best Buy and Costco had good discounts on the MBP13” (200-250off) and MBP14”(about 400 off). I think that is cheaper than the apple edu pricing. The sales are gone for now but I think it’s gonna be back pretty soon
Btw MacBook Air M1 is also available for about 900. That is quite a solid machine, if you’re on a budget and don’t require it for any heavy processing work( like animation/ video production).
Don’t buy the Pro. Buy a maxed out Air and a nice monitor. I also agree with refurbished. Just as good as new. Warrantee and everything.
Probably. How many are open at once? My Air starts to lag when I have ten things open at a time. What really matters is processor and memory.
Check out on swappa.com verified new and used tech! Extremely trustworthy.
I got mine refurbished and it’s been going strong for 4 years now. Also i knew someone who worked at an apple store and gave me an employee discount so that made it even cheaper. Maybe ask around if anyone knows of someone who works there.
Agree you can use the student discount but if you go in store you can also give them your employer and if they do a lot of business with them you can get their employer discount, you just can’t use it on any new products within the last 6 months,
