Anyone know anything about mcgarrybowen in New York? How’s the work/life balance and culture there. I’ve heard mixed reviews.

I worked there. Thought it was good. Really nice people. Sort of a hot mess as they don't really have project management. That would save hours of time. Frankly I found some people a little lazy. Balanced a little too far to the life. Probably why the work is not. better. I found Having Gordon Bowen around to be really inspiring. He's the soul of the place but very behind the scenes. Anyone who gets to work with him is lucky. But too bad he is so behind the scenes. They just hired Matt Ian as. CCO for NY. And he's just great. Came from Droga and brought a bunch of Droga people with him. Who are also wonderful. Also they have Amex which is almost run like a separate agency it is so huge. Everyone on that team is first rate. Production department super nice people. Genuinely fun too! . Strategy is strong. COnner Huber is CSO and is young but a rising star. Found all of leadership really approachable. JEn Zimmerman is a force of nature. Has clients eating out of her hands. They are working hard on diversity. Noticeable change I. The time I worked there. But of course a long way to go. I would say it is a good agency for culture. Space could be better but they are supposed to be rehabbing. Lots of free food from breakfast to afternoon snacks. Beer keg always filled! In a way it is a young agency so they haven't really figured out all the processes to make the agency run smoothly. So people have to be willing to roll up their sleeves. I miss them. I moved or I would have stayed on for sure.

Do you pronounce "niche" as rhyming with quiche or as rhyming with itch? Might help if you include where you grew up in that answer, cos I'm wondering if it's a regional thing. I'll answer below.

Is anyone always afraid of breaking up with their SO. Like everything is going great, but I always have this underlying fear that he'll breakup with me one day?? Or something will happen and we'll have to breakup? I mean we even talked about how we see a future together. There has to be something wrong with me lol
