Hi guys how’s DXC workday culture? Currently at one of the big fours, is it worth it to switch?
Does anyone have any insight into Accenture’s Liquid Studio group? The types of projects, culture, etc.
For those who are in or were in external audit at one point in their past, how bad was your firms / teams culture for eating hours? I used to be at KPMG and the table below says a lot. $623/hr lololol
Hiring a Retention/Email Marketer for an in-house role. I work in the marketing dept and it’s pretty awesome here. Paid medical, unlimited PTO (real kind, culture is to take 4 weeks), fun co-workers
I’m burnt out. Biglaw six years and got pushed out. Now at a midsize firm. I work more than I used to and getting paid 1/3 less. Work is not bad at all and the firm culture is great. I never wanted to become a lawyer to start with but now I’m stuck here. If I switch to a completely new profession, I would have to start over. My hubby’s financials are not great and I feel I’m obligated to stay at my firm job to make it work. I really don’t know what to do...
Anyone have any insight into white & case’s Palo alto office? Had a recruiter call me about it. I’m at another Am10 firm. Hours/culture, etc. 5th year m&a. Thanks
Probably not the bowl for this but I just learned about this gruesome practice of industrial agriculture. It’s horrifying - “It’s one of the most jaw-dropping, least-known facts of American food production: to keep the egg industry running efficiently, hatcheries kill hundreds of millions of newborn male chicks every year”. https://api.nationalgeographic.com/distribution/public/amp/culture/article/by-2020--male-chicks-could-avoid-death-by-grinder
Any recommendations for desi therapists (or anyone who can understand the desi culture)? Going through a ‘very desi situation’, felt it would be better to talk it out with someone who can understand, if not relate
Folks at MBB in EU/UK are your hours and culture as brutal as US? Heard from my Australian colleagues it can vary quite a bit. Appreciate your responses as I dream to relocate!
Has anyone moved from a big 4 to a BDO/GT/RSM? I have an opportunity to move to a mid tier as a manager or stay at KPMG for another year to become a manager. On one hand, I have consistently been a top performer and have an outstanding reputation at KPMG, but on the other hand I am and sick of the forced standardization/granularity and overall long hours culture at B4. Also, I look up and see that managers/partners are abused here in my B4 office. Will it be materially different at a BDO/GT/RSM?
Looking to move to New York. What are some neighborhoods I should check out with a good balance of culture, nice apartments, convenience, food, etc? (Large 1 br/bath under $3600)
What’s better being at a small consulting firm working with people you like and solid culture but lower pay. Or going to a bigger firm (Accenture, Big Four, etc.) with more competitive higher pay?
Anybody from Klick! Or KlickHealth? Have a goal of getting into account management there. What’s the culture there? Is it worthy of aspiration?
Some days I get so stressed and can't help but think how bad this job is for my mental health, and I lean towards leaving. But then I can't help but think about how "the grass isn't always greener" 😞
Has anyone successfully negotiated their contracts in the Big4? If so, how did you do it and how did it go? I’m an S1, will get my raise in October... BUT… The market is hot right now, and I can leave an make more— but I would like the opportunity to stay and them bargain with me to stay since we are short staffed. Again, I understand I can leave, so don’t make that comment. Any insight or advice is welcome. KPMG EY PwC Deloitte
I need some advice on my next steps after being laid off. It’s a bit complicated but for 5 month out of this past year I was forced to give up my billable hours in order to help “load balance” our team. I went from billing 100% to 58% (safe zone). Billable hours were given to other team members who didn’t have work. This was designed to help average out hours to prevent layoffs. I agreed to do this but felt it was unethical and would affect my performance review. How would you approach HR?
I’m a senior strategist applying senior strategy positions and not getting traction. At this point I think I must be doing something wrong. Hiring managers - what are your red flags at this level? What do you need to see to seal the deal. Thank you!
Interviewed by a FP&A director for a SFA position and they asked me my salary expectations. I couldn’t dodge the question so i gave a range between 110-115k (where i’m currently at as S3 in big4 advisory). They said highest base for the position is around 105k and total comp (base+annual bonus) would likely be 110k. The role focuses on top-line P&L and is pure FP&A (no JE/acctg responsibilities) and good WLB, so i think it’s a good opportunity. If they do give an offer, should i still negotiate?
Let's say I'm looking at an industry or otherwise non-traveling role. Is it fair to consider travel benefits (meals/per diem, miles, alt travel) as part of total compensation?
In the 16 years since I was a summer clerk, profits per equity partner have more than doubled. The associate comp. scale has increased 20k in the same period. People wonder why associates are leaving for other jobs….

Don’t know if it’s appropriate. So I’m WFH in a flat, new neighbours just moved in and whilst I’m having meetings in the morning, I hear neighbours enjoying their time DAILY (screaming, wall vibrations you know... ). It’s really distracting and embarrassing when I’m working and if my team hears it from their end. Never had this happening before. What to do? Advice please?
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!

Bonvoy brilliant or business ink preferred? I like the flexibility of UR but seems like I would rack up Marriott points quicker with the bonus category
I’m trying to reckon with what I’d describe as a culture of fear surrounding partners/leadership and the unconditional respect they’re often given. I’ve seen some whack behavior from partners that just goes unchallenged. Is it mainly politics? Faith in their vision? Precedent?
How much do you Holiday Bonus your staff? I have 2 Non registered females. Hired May this year. Brought in 25 million new assets to me. Salary is 35k. I'm thinking 1500.00 = 2 week salary.
