Anyone know how to update the recommender’s email for CBS?

I’m doing a class sign up via a form auto workflow from Microsoft form to excel. In my excel workbook, I want to auto update a separate sheet with the classes folks opt to sign up for. How do I create a lookup for if x text in one cell is true (ie name of the course), then it gives the name of the person in a separate column. Is this an index match match? And can I do this as data is continually coming in?

Hi all, I’m applying for a clerkship and have a question about writing samples. Do you have to obtain permission from your firm to use a writing sample from practice, even if you redact names and identifying client information? What do you do if you’re applying and don’t want the firm to know? Curious as to what others have done in this situation.

4th year at a mid size PI firm. Got pulled from litigating MVAs to help this solo we hired start a med Mal/nursing home practice. 1 year in and it looks like I’m two steps backwards in terms of getting paid because we’re a year or more out from a lot of the fees hitting. I respect the solo a lot, he’s a mentor, but I’ve got kids and I gotta get paid. Trying not to burn bridges, but I can’t wait years to get cut in. Advice?

One thing I struggle to remind myself of is you can only lose so much from a bad investment but gains from a good investment are (sorta) unlimited. If your starting position is $10,000 and the value halves, you're down $5,000. But if the value of a separate position doubles, you're now up a total of $5,000.

I think learning this will help me reach my FIRE goals by eliminating a lot of emotion and impulse in my investment decisions.

What’s the highest possible comp non tech folks can make and where? In terms of exits, PE ops seems to offer the highest potential trajectory. Are there other areas that can match or beat this? Feel like exiting to big tech like FAANG strategy&ops etc promises higher immediate comp but limited potential growth. Also exiting to tech means you will also be paid lower than tech folks

Best prep classes in NYC?

Will schools be in person this fall? I heard nightmare stories of Zoom University at various top schools from alumni.... i feel like these schools are so ill prepared for anything digital except CMU and other online programs
