Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). Love: WFH, Flexibility of not being “chained to desk” all day because I don’t have to take outside customer calls, ability to complete work assigned at any time of day within 72hrs, no micromanaging from my Supervisor, feeling like I’m my own boss

Hate: getting assigned bulks from others and it throws off efficiency of reviewing suits, monotony, depositions

I’ve been approached my by company (software) that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

We recently did layoffs, I was kept however there have been changes & meeting quota has become difficult & we have a way heavier workload. The perks are amazing but I need to make more money.
