You can also try to email all the principals from the schools you are interested in. Introduce yourself and make each one aware you are available for a chemistry position and attach ur resume.
I did that one year. I was hired by a principal that didn't post the open position. Idk why. He called the counry that he is interested in hiring me.
Tried indeed.com ?
Have you looked at enjoin.org? Most districts list job openings.
Relocate if possible. This might have been a blessing in disguise. Come to the DC Metro area (Dc, Maryland, Va.). So many districts to choose from, very diverse, competitive pay and nice retirement. You will definitely get offers! Transfer fairs will be happening soon! Do your research. Best of luck!
What subject?
Have you tried possibly applying for a virtual all year chemistry position? I don’t know the reasons why you were let go although I’ve seen teachers be better successful teaching virtually than physically in the classroom. Especially if discipline is the issue.

Can you teach high school math? (Chemistry is close enough sometimes). We have a position!
I’m sorry for your short notice & I hope you find something. In TN, we have yearly contracts. You don’t in IL?
We don't really have "contracts" for employment, but because of the way the budget is laid out, usually there are cuts over summer.
At this time of year, teachers may get let go if they are temporarily assigned, meaning they are a teacher who is covering for someone on maternity leave, for a medical reason, etc. Then, they usually would have to look for another temporary position or a permanent position.
I'm sure it's different district to district, though.
So sorry!
I've almost exhausted my options at this point as I've applied to every position through these databases. Kinda getting frustrated
I’m so sorry that you were let go. Good luck with the job search-be persistent! You got this~
Move to rural Kansas for while. It's not bad here, and we are always in short supply of Chemistry and Physics teachers.
Chicago Public Schools is hiring. There is an extreme shortage of teachers and subs.
Mundelein High has potential in the pay area. Check it out!
