I'm in a role at a legal publisher right now. My work life balance is great but I'm worried about my career long term. I don't want to be unhirable as a practicing attorney again. I do freelance projects for other lawyers on the side but these are of limited complexity. Current 5th year. Started in big law, left to a boutique and changed practice. Happier with the work life balance…much happier. I went from a 100 hour work week to a 30 hour if that. But still not enjoying my dream practice. I think it’s time to try something else before I find myself with an addiction problem and other typical depressed attorney things you hear about.
