Anyone doing management masters at Harvard Extension School? Can it take you places? What are the career opportunities?
Given all the recent buzz about expected large raises around the big 4, I’d like to level set on the average salary for a 4th/5th year female senior manager in federal tax ( credits & methods group) in the Midwest - Chicago/Minneapolis/Detroit market. Anyone willing to share a range if they work in a similar area of tax / similar level? I recognize all groups vary greatly in salary expectations, so looking for input specific to my area. Current expectations set at 140-160k. Reasonable?
It never ceases to amuse me how our "lazy days" can still be so much more productive than what the client FTEs are doing..
What do DEI people actually do? Besides give the (mostly false) appearance of diversity within the agency?
Is anyone getting promotions with or without a raise right now? What agency do you work at?
Manager BS-es her way into trouble, then claims she's "not allowed" to forward me the email thread (just sends me the latest nasty-gram from client) when asking me to do damage control.
What do non-MBA undergraduate campus hires with 3 years of consulting experience make? PwC: SA1 makes 99k in NYC. Some are SA2s and it'd be 105k. Bonuses are shit so ignore that lol.
Define the type of person who thrives at Edelman and fits the culture and the ones who don’t
I started with my bar prep company in March and have been working remotely since. I don’t feel like I was ever properly trained (can’t tell if that’s because of poor management or WFH or both) but I have a hard time with the contract management system and have made several mistakes. Of course, I wasn’t trained in the CMS and am only taught how to do something correctly after I’ve don’t it incorrectly. Any advice on keeping things in perspective? I feel like I’m underperforming but only with tech

Fed contractors, do you ever have issues with your client comp saying their virus protections are out dated? Haven’t used mine for like a week or two but this obviously doesn’t seem like a good thing
Applying to industry after 2 yrs in a data-heavy strategy consulting role, and running into an odd problem: people are automatically putting me into a "heavy-quant" box and becoming apprehensive of my fit for a business role (strategy, FP&A, etc). 2 Qs: 1. Does this sound plausible, or am I overthinking based on a small sample? 2. How would you highlight your fit/interest in moderately quantitative roles? Consultants generally like my "Context> result> personal contribution" format of bullets
