Anyone know of any good articles addressing the COVID vaccine and breastfeeding. Trying to decide if I should get the shot and continue breastfeeding, get the shot and stop breastfeeding, or wait until she’s 1 and done breastfeeding to get the shot.

I follow Mama Doctor Jones on YouTube- she’s an ObGyn who does great informative videos- including one she did on the vaccine and pregnancy/breastfeeding. For what it’s worth I got fully vaccinated while breastfeeding and my pediatrician’s office said there was no risk to my child with the vaccine, but that there wasn’t much evidence yet about whether the antibodies could be passed on in a useful form (which is what I was hoping for).

got the vaccine during month 5 of breastfeeding (now at month 9 and weaning). The piece of mind it gave me was priceless.

Got the shot at 4 months of breastfeeding, and still going strong. No reactions from baby. Feel so much better knowing he’s getting some protection!

I intentionally got the shot while breastfeeding; I stopped BF when LO was one, and banked about 15 bags of milk just in case he catches the rona at daycare.

Long post alert. Also, confusing post alert haha. So, I'm going to be divorced in the next few months and have 2 kids who'll be with me. Ever since this situation has been finalized, I'm becoming very conscious of our spend & have been tight about it. Covid has helped. But I noticed that even my grocery store bills are pretty high...like a single run to Meijer is $125+. Costco is like $200 or so. We've always had fresh fruits, nuts liberally used in our house. Woke up with a scratchy throat, got a rapid covid test that came back negative, and am scheduled to get my first dose of the vaccine tomorrow. Reallyyy want to get the vaccine and am thinking the throat thing is probably just allergies since otherwise I feel 100% fine. Think it’s ok to go through with the appointment tomorrow?

to 🐠 with severe anxiety/prone to panic attacks: i need guidance on how to help my loved ones manage through their anxiety. their anxiety is usually triggered by health related situations so COVID-19 has been especially difficult for them. scenarios of them getting triggered include when they’re running, they sometimes get bouts of coughs so then they panic, thinking they can’t breathe. or they accidentally touch harsh chemicals and think they injected toxins. how can i help and be supportive?

Moms, I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Everyone on my family is vaccinated. What are safe activities to do with these kiddos in the midst of all this covid variant environment. I thought about the pumpkin patch, hiking, the park, and walks as long as we distance from others. I just get nervous about catching colds or a breakthrough covid infection. I’m not paranoid, just risk averse. The whole family got the TSV bug a month ago, and it was miserable. Just trying to be practical, but not a

Met with my boss today and was told “well you’re way better at your job than we expected...so keep doing that and just that. We might be able to have some more interesting work for you to do in 2-3 years”. Meanwhile...I am BORED TO TEARS!!!!!! And it’s tempting to quit, but I make more money than both of my parents combined EVER have, we had zero layoffs during COVID, and I really do love the people. At the end of the day...I guess I’m just hear to vent and to see if I’m the ONLY one.
