Anyone know of any good tools/resources with job prospects for 65+ trying to find employment after behind laid off during COVID? I imagine many have been forced into early retirement. Unfortunately, it appears the discrimination is very real when it comes to allowing “retirees” to participate in our workforce.

Yes absolutely. It isn’t for me, it’s for my parents.

Yes, it is often very difficult for people age 60+(or even younger) to find suitable employment in many career fields.

People have been asking me for referrals post COVID and I want to help everyone but I also know that some people won’t be a great fit. Is anyone else facing this? Does it hurt to refer not as strong candidates? I am assuming they will just get rejected?

People always say sue the company or owner. Is it that easy to sue someone? Especially around employment when people are getting laid off due to Covid. I think Deloitte or any big consulting firm it’s not easy to sue them, they are well protected

The more pedestrian your intellect, the better fit you are at D Heard of a colleague with an FRM charter being laid off today. Overall excellent person. What practice areas (if any) would be a natural move for a mid-level commercial real estate/finance associate? I started trying to leave my firm in February and, at the time, was super in-demand. Now, with Covid, commercial real estate is slow & I think I'll be stuck where I am for at least another year if I don't make a practice area shift. Are there any other practice areas where my experience would be valuable?

Moms, I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Everyone on my family is vaccinated. What are safe activities to do with these kiddos in the midst of all this covid variant environment. I thought about the pumpkin patch, hiking, the park, and walks as long as we distance from others. I just get nervous about catching colds or a breakthrough covid infection. I’m not paranoid, just risk averse. The whole family got the TSV bug a month ago, and it was miserable. Just trying to be practical, but not a

How much makeup do you wear to an interview? Just foundation/mascara? Full eyeliner/lipstick?

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?

I heard a news about few people who are in bench were laid off recently. Is it true? Anyone heard about this? One of my friend's friend who is around 2 years was laid off. She was told by talent team that clients are asking for more experience candidates and they were not able to match her to any project. She is from Salesforce practice. Please confirm if anyone heard this type of news.

From talking to students at multiple M7 schools, it seems like all of the BB/MBB/FAANG companies recruit at most if not all of the schools . So if you're planning on recruiting for one of these, is there really a major difference in career opportunities between each school? Asking because it seems like some schools are specifically known for finance vs consulting vs tech, but if the companies are all recruiting at all these schools, the differences don't seem as pronounced to me.
