Hello all, Is H1B transfer possible during F1-H1B Cap Gap?

I went to India for Visa stamping and my Visa was issued last Thursday. However, vfs hasn’t returned my passport since and the status keeps showing ‘Origination Scan’. Their customer service is barely a service at all. They say they have no info on the passport. Anyone been through a similar delay in receiving passport after visa issuance and anything you can do about this?

I got to know someone thru work, and flirted a bit over 1 week. Then we never spoke again because of work geography. He reached out this week after 9 months+ asking for a visa sponsor to take a vacay in my country (given mobility restriction these days), and asked me to hook him up with a business visa referral letter thru my connections. He also said he’s coming with gf. I said im happy to write him a personal reference letter, but wont be able to get him a business one. Is this rude?

Am I mad to follow love instead of money? Context: 24 years old, got a great job as a commodity broker, been doing it one year now and bonus has grown substantially every quarter. Long term girlfriend (3 years) is moving to Australia in October, as of right now she thinks I am going with her. A large % of my social circle are also going. My company will probably not relocate me - our presence is tiny in Oz, meaning I can only get a working holiday visa (temp jobs). Am I mad to move for love?

Do people on h1b upon getting another job offer (you are yet to accept it and the visa hasn't been transferred yet), let the current employer know about it to see if the current employer matches or exceeds the new offer? Or do you quitely walk away with new offer assuming what if they don't match and you are asked to leave soon?

How long does it take to mail the application once uscis approves it? My new employer is asking me to give notice before I get the docs in my mail given the delay in start date due to visa processing, I feel bad about making them wait - is there a major downside to giving notice now?

If just money is the critriea, what wiĺl you take.. 1.3cr in India or 325k in US.. We are currently in India and between me and my wife we make 1.3cr annually and live in hyderabad with own home. I do have a L1 visa and wife wants to shift to US and i expect we can get to about 325k through transfers in our respective companies. I was offered a freelance gig I am interested in. However, I am in the USA with an O1 sponsored by an agency. Granted that the agency wouldn’t like me taking an extra job, how about the government? Can I work for another party when sponsored by another one without jeopardizing the visa?

Don’t know why, but I am not feeling afraid of getting laid off. And also I don’t feel like pushing to get another job in case that happens. I am fed up with this visa nonsense, the corporate slavery they have in name of H1B. And also this whole world in turmoil due to covid has left me thinking what better i could do to add value to the society.
