Hello, I’m going to ask for a raise next month. I have been with my company for 7 years and just started a new position. I asked for more money when I started the position but was told to wait until we received our yearly raises, Does anyone know how much a FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) tech make? I also recently received my Masters of Science in Public Heath, so I don’t want to be stuck at my job when I could be making more money.

I'm up for a promotion from Senior Account Director to VP Group Account Director. I have 6-7 solid years of director experience and I'm based in NYC. 12+ years digital experience overall. For any experienced Group Account Directors out there, would you mind sharing your salaries? I'm aiming to be at a base of $200-205k which is a 15-20% bump from where I am now. Is that reasonable?

Just wondering if others have a clue what’s going on. We have been told nothing about how we will do our job this year. Or if we even have a job. Our school is doing in school for K-6 and hybrid for 7-12. I’m not sure if I even want to be there. It’s very concerning to me.

What's the point of getting a B4 to do your internal audit? My understanding is it's to save time and therefore money for the external audit, but I imagine it's not cheap to have a B4 do it.

Could someone point me to resources on organic foods? Or whether the health benefits vary by type of food? So I’m 2 months into “eating clean” - switched entirely from Aldi to Whole Foods on the advice of many friends who felt amazing and vowed to never go back. No catalyst for me - feel fine, exercise regularly, like to think I look decent - just thought I’d try it. Yet I’ve noticed zero difference except my grocery spending has tripled. Is organic mainly a placebo? Eager to hear other opinions

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Should I help my team hire another employee? I was told we’re looking to hire more people like me and they’d love references from me. I’ve been asked this before at a different job and the person who I helped get hired ended up being a complete dud which looks bad on me. I have more confidence in the person I currently have in mind but don’t know if it’s worth the risk. It doesn’t seem like there’s anything in it for me other than being able to have my heavy workload relieved by someone capable.
