I am currently working as a data analyst at in digital marketing. I want to transition to data science. I don’t come from a CS background, but I can code. I’ve done stats in my MBA, and I am not seeing any scope to widen my skill sets in my current role,outside of Excel and Google Sheets.

On the other hand, it’s getting tougher to make a change as my experience doesn’t feel relevant. How do I get out of this rut?

Is anyone in this group a marketing professional or has had an experience in this field in Switzerland? I’d be keen on hearing your growth path and salary expectations as a 26 yo with 2 years experience :)

I’m in my mid-30s and currently in HR, which I don’t enjoy. I live in a HCOL (Los Angeles) and make about $100k per year currently. I don’t have any kids so I live comfortably on that. Do you disclose when you were promoted on your CV? I’ve been as a assistant manager for over a year but have just been ‘promoted’ to manager. Have been doing the same role for the entire time… only thing that changed was my official role title. Do I need to split this out into two roles on my CV?

Would ideally like to keep as one optically to avoid having to ‘spend more time in the manger role’… as I’ve been doing that role for a year now and keen to move on!

My client’s site got hacked yesterday. I didn’t see any actual signs of impending attack.
