I am newly working in product development (non tech bg), would you rec I get a masters in software eng, comp science, or similar track to get educated? My undergrad degree is completely irrelevant.
Okay 🐠 I need your input on two scenarios I have. 1 - Join EY cloud strategy as SM working under two partners and with 2 other SMs (will be partners in the next 2-3 years) that I know well; with a fast track to partner for myself. Or 2 - Join BCG DV at EM level and work towards partner level there. Completed final interview last week and got positive feedback. I don’t think there’s a wrong answer, but I have the EY offer in hand, comp difference is negligible.
Director small client to VP flagship client, internal move after less than a year. Going from leading a team of 4 to one of 20. What’s a reasonable ask as a percentage salary bump?

Can we stop salary shaming (lol but really)? This should be an objective comparison thread. Not a “well I mean that’s still a lot so just be thankful” thread. Stop hating. Stay informative.
What is the average Analyst salary at Deloitte?
What's the bonus structure at Slalom? Do they usually pay it completely? I recently got an offer from Slalom, but the bonus % is not mentioned in the offer. Just a generic clause that I'm eligible for bonus component.

I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.
Anybody else sometimes feel like they're the only imperfect one at work in a sea of perfection? Thoughts on how to combat that?
Anyone here work for any of the LBMC offices in Tennessee and willing to share their experience? I’ve been working for Deloitte for 5 years and considering applying to a regional firm in hopes of a lighter work load. But I know moving to a smaller firm doesn’t always mean less work. I am in tax so any insight into that specifically would be much appreciated!
Are there any Salesforce projects in China? Would love to travel to a mega city there (Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, etc.) to experience the culture and apply my technical knowledge there.
I applied to Berkeley and NYU on the round 2 deadlines (Jan 14/15) and haven’t heard anything yet. People who applied at the same time as me have reported on ClearAdmit that they’ve already gotten interview invites. Does this mean I’ve gotten dinged, or would they let me know definitely that I’ve been dinged?
What is the typical timeline of promotion from senior analyst to consultant at Accenture?
Question for Goggins & Jocko Fans: How do you use their messaging to get you motivated on work related activities - such as delivering quality work, finishing that slide deck or prepping for an interview? It appears that they are more geared towards motivating the couch potato in to exercising. I wonder how Jocko would handle consulting life :)
Thoughts on exiting at a lateral level to the industry? Found an interesting strategy role and am in touch with the hiring team. However title is same as my current one (Sr. Associate). I know this title thing sounds superficial but wanted to get other fish’s thoughts on this 🙏

Thoughts on the CPHIMS certification? Valuable or just another cert cash grab from HIMSS?
My midsize firm decided on a salary freeze for this year. It kept the incentive bonuses, but no raises. Is this unusual in the COVID-19 era? Or are other firms doing the same?

I have ptsd from a terrible accident where two people died. I nearly died myself. Every time one of you says you got ptsd from a difficult project or bad client, I want to scream.
I got a side hustle part time job that’s not under the table. I don’t wanna do 401k through them since I already have a good 401k through my full time job. Is there a way to opt out of doing 401k for that part time job or do enroll and then just put 0% allocation?
