Anyone know what Gunderson’s NY office looks like? Considering a lateral offer there - is it open floor plan, individual offices w/ windows, etc?

It strangely looks a lot like my bedroom

I’d go to Cooley or Fenwick over Gunderson.

Can you elaborate?

You can look up the building online. New building

like

The building has a website and has a sort of virtual tour. Not of gunderson’s specific offices, but you can get a sense.

It’s all glass with windows in every office. Very modern.

Recently received an offer from Ogletree to do only class action work. It'll be a big change for me, I'll be starting as a fourth year. Double my current salary, etc.

What will this be like? It's more of a niche, but lucrative, part of their practice, right? Will I really get good WLB like they claim? I have a nice 40 hour a week job right now, no billables.

As part of interview process for a Quality Program manager at Amazon, I have been asked to provide my salary expectation(specifically provide a number or range). The job location is Bellevue. Unlike sceeening questions for previous roles, it has no mention of willingness to relocate.

Any insight will help me in terms of putting a comp expectation!

Made it to Amazon last round, and rejected. All I got was an email from the recruiter saying they didn't move forward. The team seemed great, and the turnover didn't seem terrible as everyone I interviewed with was there for 3 years or longer. It seemed like a great group doing good work. I'm crushed.

I work in recruiting at a tech start-up in SF. We typically don't share our latest valuation with candidates unless it's a very senior position, but I am seeing more mid-level candidates ask for it lately. My question to you all...
1. Do you share your valuation with candidates?
2. If yes or no, please share why.

Manhattan Law Firms Eye Wall Street’s Lead on Office Returns

As Wall Street banks and the law firms that advise them push to get employees back to the office, lawyers at most large New York firms are expected to hit targets of three days per week.
Hybrid schedules, with office work taking place Tuesday through Thursday, is a popular format at many firms. For law firm leaders, a major factor in RTO decisionmaking has been the need to develop junior lawyers who’ve worked..

Need to tell my building this week if I’m renewing my lease. My firm currently has a target date of returning to the office early fall. Anyone else hear anything about return dates? I'm a senior associate at an AmLaw 100 firm being considered for an non-equity partner position at another AmLaw 100 firm which is a bit further down the pole. When do partners decide when an associate is good enough to make partner? It’s hard for me to avoid the conclusion that associates are largely being strung along by partners who are going to can them at some point, long after that decision is made.
