Anyone know what the average wage for working in a bar/ restaurant in Dubai is I’m thinking of taking an offer to work there but I’m not sure what I should be looking for salary wise

In Dubai it depends a lot on the place you work for, that is, there is a minimum salary but very few places pay a minimum salary, according to Gulf talent, which is a very reliable page to know salaries, it talks about salaries for bartenders from 2,500 AED to 6,500 AED when you already have experience.

https://www.gulftalent.com/uae/salaries/bartender

I had the same doubt as you and this page hit the nail on the head: https://www.salaryexpert.com/salary/job/bar-attendant/united-arab-emirates/dubai#:~:text=65%2C757%20% D8%AF.,%E2%80%8F%20(AED)%2Fyr

There it shows that for bar staff we are talking about an hourly wage of AED 31.62 per hour, which is equivalent to $8.62. This is when you are at entry level but things are going up fast.

I recommend you to visit this page: https://ae.indeed.com/career/restaurant-staff/salaries/Dubai

There you can play with the experience and the points and you can have a more complete vision of how much your salary can be today and tomorrow.

I love working at the bookstore and I'm proud to work with such a large group of people from different backgrounds. I'm really happy we're all here. But it probably isn't the best idea to get someone to reshelve books when they haven't been taught how to categorize them properly. It's like I spend most of the day following one of my coworkers around and discreetly fixing what he works on. He's a great guy, very personable, but wow is it frustrating.

Moving on from Hotels (Hospitality)?

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.

Should I move on and go to a different industry? Opinions are welcome! Thanks in advance.
