Hi everyone,
I need help trying to figure out what the right compensation is for a senior tax consultant at big4. I have worked 5 years in small accounting firm, and I am applying for experienced hired roles at big4 and wanted to know what the right salary would be. Thanks in advance.

I know someone at AlpInvest (Carlyle) on their investment team and they get lower base and bonus than the direct investing platforms like US Buyout at Carlyle. I’d say in general, the fund investing / secondaries platforms of these firms will pay lower than the direct investing teams but the experience is still great and you have a brand name down for future opps.
Got it that’s good to know - makes sense with the typically lower fees charged in secondaries. I’m also assuming a slight discount to Carlyle US buyout is probably still really competitive comp.

No coinvest unfortunately. It is a great gig if you focus on GP leds a bit less interesting when doing broad portfolio deals
