OP - Federal govt messed up and didn’t do a good job procuring enough vaccines quickly enough. The provincial governments are responsible for distributing and administering the vaccine allocations they get from the federal govt, and while they could be doing some things better, they can only work with the small quantities of vaccines that they have. Plus the delays from Pfizer means less of the promised vaccines are received. That’s why the few vaccines we do receive go straight to the long term care homes (they’ve even paused vaccines for healthcare workers). Federal govt needs to step up!

Roll out for the general population will happen in sept is my guess.
Wow that’s so late - We have way less people than US and US is targeting April/May! I wonder what happened to the extra doses per person that was bought by Canada.
That was what I was thinking till I found out all my friends have already preregistered in their respective states. US is also targeting front line workers and more vulnerable people in the first phase but the normal roll out is April/May. I am just surprised in terms of population - Canadian population is so less compared to US but it’s taking half a year for just half the population. Some of the poorest countries are doing a more aggressive immunization drive. Curious to understand how different the rollout plan could be for other countries.
