Anyone know what went down at Mindshare with Nick Emery?

😔 I’m really shocked and saddened by what’s happened. We, and he, deserved better than that email to everybody. Understand that it wasn’t racial or sexual.

Sounds like he decided to take a piss on a Zoom call and viewers saw his bare butt, nothing else. If he’s really arguing that subjecting his coworkers to that is just a dumb prank, that’s ridiculous.

Nah but here for the tea

Sources used words such as a “juvenile”, "idiotic", “schoolboy” and “lavatorial” to describe the “prank”

🤷🏼‍♂️ I thought he was one of the good ones?

First time in a really long time that there's no line for TSA PreCheck. Guess the other road warriors are on vacation.

advice on switching from Public accounting at a Big four to an industry staff accountant position after only a little more than a year ? I have no desire to become some kind of CFO or CAO. I’ve been interviewing for positions at smaller public accounting firms as well as staff accountant roles in industry. I just want my life back before busy season….

Vendor to the client is hitting on me hard and she is six years my elder. Bad or good idea to keep going along with it?

Is MBB worth it? I’ve never been in mbb or big 4. Just smaller consulting firms. Have a competing offer between FAANG and MBB. I’m in tech and FAANG is more interesting for my career as well as preferred work culture. However, I’ve seen a lot about MBB here and kind of want to join just so I can say I was in MBB. Is it gonna be killer hours? Promotion politics? Biases on my lack of education? hoping to hear what others have to say

Has anyone tried switching your employer when you had less than 2 years left on your H1B with an approved I140?

I only plan on staying in consulting for about 2 more years then off for an MBA. Would it be more worth it to take a level and pay raise at a different big4 moving to senior level rather than going to associate/analyst level at MBB? These are my two choices at the moment. I want to position myself best for post MBA jobs in industry. Salary will def be lower at MBB compared to the senior level at big4 so not sure if it’s worth the trade off in experience.

quick market compensation research: client serving responsible for sales and delivery, MD w 24 yrs experience, MBA from top 10 school, management consulting (business - not strat or IT). What’s your base and variable comp?

From consulting to investing / lending - anyone has guidance on how to make the move? I’m a consulting manager with finance experience pre-MBA. Thinking about pivoting into investing / lending but struggle to find an angle - assumed that it would be hard to break into investing but lending would be great (all the way from corporate banking to mezz). Any guidance on seeking relevant experience while in consulting?

I hate my life. Resigning...What do I do about health insurance? How long will I be covered? Just the two weeks? Or can they make me leave that day?

Hey guys! Im currently an incoming associate consultant at Bain & Company and my goal is join private equity down the line. Would you guys recommend that I get an MBA (hopefully sponsored) or try to jump straight into industry?

I had a mediocre background. I am not mediocre. I’ve never gotten past the background rounds. I’ve never gotten to solve a case in an interview setting. I know I would impress. How do I get there?

So many mixed signals. One week they are obsessed and following MIA for an entire week. So over it.

Got an interview for a non-Tech role at Amazon Prime Video (data and insight). Anyone have any experience with the interviews for these roles at FAANG?

With 16 weeks parental leave at EY, 1yr no travel after after maternity for ACN, and all the distractions of workers with children, firms should show some love to the yeoman single or childless people

Honest opinion of your firm? I think mine is pretty good. I also think it has an under-appreciated culture
