Do you go see your parents when they are getting surgery?
I've never been afraid of surgery before and my dad's had a bunch (from military). He lives a few states away but I usually get to see him quite often. He's only in his 40s and my mom is with him. As a junior, a lot of peers from my generation immediately got internships at top agencies, while I had to start at a very small and un-creative agency.

At the time, it felt very frustrating, like I was running behind. But in hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. I got a lot of responsibility very fast and I could develop my skills gradually, without being burned. I’m sure this first job helped me enormously later on in my career.

Housing/rent q— In a 3 bedroom with two roommates in Brooklyn and for 8 months of our lease we’ve dealt with mice issues. Our old managment company was so bad at responding to our requests/inefficient, so we took to buying traps ourselves. The problem would go away, and then we’d find another mouse. Managment recently changed in February and thy’ve been much more responsive but we’ve caught 10 mice at this point. Asked for one month of rent free, but LL only offered $500. Should we keep pushing?
