Anyone knows Publicis Sapient? Got approached 3 times by 3 different recruiters in the last 2 months.

Sounds like an STD to me lmao

In its heyday, Sapient(Nitro) was a leader in digital engagements. Kinda lost its way after the Publicis acquisition and couldn’t compete with the smart followers such as Accenture Digital, etc.

@BCG1, what is it like now going from PUblicis Sapient to BCG?

I joined the Management Consulting practice in PS from a MBB/T2. When I was recruiting I almost wrote it off until I learned more about it. The practice is only a few years old and plays heavy in the Digital/Consumer space. If that's your cup of tea then worth looking into. Comp was very competitive and I can tell you the work I've been doing is highly strategic (market sizing, identifying new opportunities, devising high level strategy for our PS digital/marketing specialist teams) and with top companies. Most of the 20-40 experienced hires in the practice are ex-MBB or T2 and very sharp as well. Org structure very flat (a breath of fresh air coming from a larger firm imo). Feel free to DM with any questions.

BCG to Sapient feels like a big step down, unless you're getting a significant bump in role (and comp). There are still some sharp people there, but lots of churn after publics bought Sapient.

I dont think OP is consulting cohort. Probably BST or GS affected by AgileWorks.

I know someone who works there. It feels like their strategy arm is more of a value add on to their core digital offerings. They are expanding aggressively though so make of that what you will.

Despite our covid numbers going up, my district is starting in-person learning. I teach first grade and am scheduled to go back Dec 8th. We are using a "concurrent" model where we will be teaching both in person and online students simultaneously. Mondays will be planning days. Is anyone else doing this? What advice do you have to do this successfully without being totally exhausted?

Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls

Just got a big raise (50%+) starting July 1st that is going to move me out of income limits for direct Roth IRA contributions (prior to raise was under the limit) even with maxed pretax 401k and HSA - however I am already halfway through contributions ($3000). What options do I have to address these excess contributions?

Super unhappy with my current project/firm and looking to pivot quickly. Struck out at an MBB final round last week, had been prepping for a while. What’s the best course of action moving forward? Continue networking, applying, and trying to get referrals? Not sure how much longer I can take it doing current work. For context, went to an Ivy and have 2YOE. Any help’s appreciated.
