Does anyone work in Morningstar’s internal tax department? Have an interview coming up and wondering what your thoughts are? Better than public?
Despite our covid numbers going up, my district is starting in-person learning. I teach first grade and am scheduled to go back Dec 8th. We are using a "concurrent" model where we will be teaching both in person and online students simultaneously. Mondays will be planning days. Is anyone else doing this? What advice do you have to do this successfully without being totally exhausted?

Thoughts from folks on H1B on working remotely for the month of December through maybe Jan 4 or mid-Jan from home country? I extended my H1B earlier this fall, and am Canadian so don’t need visa stamp at the consultant and wants to go home to Canada for the holidays
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls

Just got a big raise (50%+) starting July 1st that is going to move me out of income limits for direct Roth IRA contributions (prior to raise was under the limit) even with maxed pretax 401k and HSA - however I am already halfway through contributions ($3000). What options do I have to address these excess contributions?

Has anyone exited consulting at SM level? If so, what position did you exit into? I am in tech consulting and trying to see if I can get into tech companies.
Super unhappy with my current project/firm and looking to pivot quickly. Struck out at an MBB final round last week, had been prepping for a while. What’s the best course of action moving forward? Continue networking, applying, and trying to get referrals? Not sure how much longer I can take it doing current work. For context, went to an Ivy and have 2YOE. Any help’s appreciated.
if the new project requires you to commit for X amount of years with the client how can they enforce this? i’m sure it’ll be harder to switch projects, etc. but if you decide to leave the firm what can they do?
For current management consultants pursuing a full time 1 Year MBA program, what are your post-MBA plans? Why are you pursuing a 1 Year program? Do you want to pivot out of consulting?
