Industry Advice: I am currently in a Commercial P&C CSR broker position working with manufacturing and staffing clients. I am working towards a promotion within my same team in the near future but an Account Manager position has opened up now in the construction space within our office. Should I voice my interest in the construction AM role even though I have a limited amount of construction experience or wait the six months for the AM position on my current team?

What advice do you have for an M&A consultant looking to eventually get into venture capital? I graduated in May and just started my role so I don’t plan on exiting soon (not within next 2 years). But I’m looking to eventually work in VC and want any advice I can get. Can I exit directly or would I need to do something else before? So today my manager said I was not meeting billing expectations because I overthink my work. He says my reports are good and have a lot of interesting, thoughtful analysis but that it takes too long.

The subtext is that this analysis isn't necessary. I like to think, analyze and then write about it. This is who I am. What I'd really like to do is be a bridge between commercial real estate and data science. I've taken a data science class recently but I'm not a coder by any means CONT'D

I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.
It's now been 3 weeks since the interview and I still haven't heard back from the team other than the odd HR email saying they are following up with them. Is there something going on internally, I.e hiring freeze in the London office atm?

I’m a financial advisor with jpmorgan and i verbally accepted a new job in private banking with another firm. This is my first time transferring licenses. Should i wait to give my two weeks notice until my new firms hr department clears me and gives me a start date or as soon as i sign the offer letter?
