I interned there for a summer. The downtown area is nice and lots of great food. However the asian population isn’t that big unless you’re near duke. It probably has grown since I was last there a few years ago though. Very hot summers, chill vibe, liberal
Echoing EY1 above - asian scene is very limited at the moment. But this will likely change in the next 5 years I think. The area is growing really quickly with tech jobs and it’s one of the best regions for higher education and academic research. I’m planning to invest in a rental property there now
I’m from Cary, which is the suburb of Raleigh. It’s a good place to live with very reasonable cost of living and friendly environment. It’s not a big city (the largest NC city is Charlotte) but I liked it better that way. Would recommend it but does depend on what you’re looking for.
It’s a good city. Decently diverse and reasonable cost of living. Also Asian food scene is pretty strong for what it is.

I really liked it. My friend use to live there. Like others have said, not many Asians, but the locals were all very nice to me when I was there.
