I live 5 minutes south of the Grand station, extremely safe imo, have had no issues with noise. Fulton market is a great area for bars and food
Agree it’s quiet, but I have never seen anything sketchy here ( definitely less than in river north proper)
It’s a great area. Absolutely have loved loving there for ~10 years. I started almost above Grand Blue Line and moved a bit further north by Galleria Marchetti.
I live right there as a female and feel extremely safe!
I live in the K2 apartment and have honestly felt less safe in this whole area. A family member also had a catalytic converter stolen while visiting. There was a shooting at a bar down the street a few weeks ago, there was an assault attempt in one of the emptier parking lots, someone got mugged at gunpoint last week and 2 kidnapping attempts recently. Some of these happened in the west loop but they’re so close I’m just grouping them together. I know we live in a city and things happen but I feel like it’s been particularly bad over the last few months and I plan on moving.
I live about 5-10 min walk west, it’s a good neighborhood. Great access to Fulton market, west loop, west town etc. Haven’t explicitly felt unsafe, but it is unnerving when things like a dude in a car shoots and hits someone at Aberdeen Tap. It’s Chicago and unfortunately there is crime, but I don’t feel like it’s any higher than other areas you’d be considering.

I live near here. I like it a lot but 1) I got mugged once while walking my dog. 2) I had my catalytic converter stolen. 34 yo M.
I live near Chicago station. Occasionally you get sirens, but I've never been concerned about my safety. I've walked back from west loop late at night by myself pretty often, and I'm a petite woman. I think it's a nice balance of being in a growing area that's got a pretty steady presence of people but isn't in the thick of things.
