Is it normal to be threatened to be fired after making mistakes that you had no idea were mistakes in the first place?
I’m a junior litigation associate at a small firm, and the managing partner says things like “you aren’t providing value to the firm” or “you’re being paid to avoid mistakes like these” when I make mistakes due to, what I believe, to be a lack of guidance and instruction. As in, they could be easily avoided with a “please keep in mind X” or something like that. Thoughts?

Anyone here currently work or have worked for @Gartner as an AE in Large Enterprise? I’ve had a couple of opportunities to interview over the past several years but have passed both times. Pay appears to be pretty solid from what I’ve been told and I’d eventually like to work a smaller book size and sell services instead of SaaS, as these are usually always in demand regardless of economic conditions.

I hve around 5.5 years of exp, started with MNC was in backup and storage for 3 and half years , then studied DevOps on my own and managed to crack some interviews,lied about work experience but joined Infosys, from last 2 years did little bit work on devops Jenkins and basic projects, recently moved to docker based project learning is good, but LPA is just 8.8, feeling it's too less, for switch I am not that confident can someone give tips or guide me for learning.

Anyone here understand lease jargon?

Signed a lease in Feb & got a great deal in a new rent stabilized apt (not sure how, but somehow stabilized in a newer building).

I’ve looked over my lease recently for something & noticed there’s a rider stating preferential rent is only for the term of the lease & then can be increased to the legal regulated rent. In 2019 I thought the law changed so that all renewals needed to be based off preferential rent & could only be raised with new tenants?
