I’m wondering what Accenture is actually doing. Is it more like a Big 4 Firm, doing theoretical consulting things. Or is it more a IT-Service/ Outsourcing company like Connection, Atos, Bechtle, etc. doing hands on technical things? Where is the main focus on?

Just opened my bag to find I brought my second monitor to the office instead of my laptop 🙃 is it Friday yet?

Trying for opportunities in UK in the financial risk/ quant area. Currently working in the US for big4. However, I am not sure if companies in UK are willing to sponsor candidates in tier 2 / skilled visa category. Can you provide some insights? TIA

I'm an MBA with 5+ years of global work experience (EY) in Cyber Risk management. What kind of client facing roles, engagements can I expect if I wish to move to Big 3? I want to move up in the ladder from domain consultant to management consultant. And it's a dream to settle in Netherlands. Your esteemed guidance will be helpful. Thanks!

Startups going public (potentially) that like Big 4 consultants?

Pre-MBA strategy 🐠, I’m wondering what kind of salary ranges you have seen when moving to a strategy role in a startup or industry? Trying to evaluate an offer I received and I have no benchmarks

Did that guy get back together with his lady? Did that 31 year old decide to keep the baby? Are Cis-gendered white men still a thing?

So I'm just going to put it out there, how realistic is it to have a child while being a women consultant?

For those who have been laid off, what does it look like right before? (like HR schedules a meeting with you?). I have this really bad pit in my stomach. No trolling or sarcastic stuff please.

Has anyone gone on maternity or paternity leave while going up for promotion in the same year that is willing to share story or any impact?

Which agencies are still accepting Summer 2018 Intern applications? Looking for recos. Communications Strategy, Social Media Strategy, Research intern roles preferred but open. LMK Thnx much!!

Has anyone here (especially BCGers) taken a leave of absence in the past? Have you described it in the application as an employment break? If not, how’ve you explained your promotion isn’t on time?

Any financial advice for us younger professionals who have not weathered a recession? I’m nearly three years out of college and it freaks me out to see my (small) 401k losing thousands of dollars.

I am from security background with 2 years of experience in Threat vulnerability management, should I consider switching for more salary?

My SO has been a pot smoker for nearly 20 years. He's smoked nearly daily since he started in college, sometimes multiple times a day. I've always had issues with it, but since he was high functioning I didn't mind it too much until we recently had a child together. After baby was born, he continues to smoke multiple times a day and didn't have a problem with his family smoking in the house until I called him out and got into a huge fight. Continued in the comment...

Has anyone made the switch from consultant to Project Manager in industry? How was the transition? Moving onto a 3rd round for a PM role, haven’t had formal PM training but they said the next interview will be PM specific questions. What’s the best way to prepare?

Would it be a bad decision to do a full-time MBA if I am on track to make $400K by the time I would matriculate? 29F. Want the degree but it is a lot to give up.

Hello all, Currently have an official Offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for a Travel System Support Analyst in DC. Although it’s not my “dream” position I still feel compelled to accept it to have BAH on my resume, does anyone have any experience switching career paths/jobs while in Booz? Any opinion helps , thank you ! I’m 23 with DoD experience btw if that helps lol

I’m a 28F who is barely getting into investing. It’s frustrating that it took this long but as a first gen college grad, my parents didn’t know anything about this stuff until very recently, so naturally I was never taught about it. It’s crazy to see people younger than me with all this knowledge on saving and investing. How did you learn so much at such a young age? Any advice for someone like me who is starting out so late in the game?

Here we go! ✈️ TSA, crying children, tourists, decks, calls, WebEx, perpetual email chains. Vroom Vroom.
