Would you ever tell your firm that you started antidepressants and have been struggling but doing every thing you can do get better? I’ve been very depressed and my hours have been low and I’ve been just slow turning stuff generally. Worried about keeping my job, but also hoping that meds improve me and get me back to “normal”

Why do I keep doing this…many times I’ve told myself I would not drink anymore yet every Friday afternoon I find myself picking up a case of beer, like on autopilot. I used to limit it to just weekends, but now I find myself more and more drinking during the week…feeling miserable at work the next day, if I even make it to work. I don’t know what has to happen for me to finally realize I need to stop and actually follow through with it. Blacked out last night, feeling ashamed of myself.

My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who shares in this group. It truly helps me stay sober. I am approaching 12 months sober but have been struggling lately. While I have not relapsed, I’ve been close. Normally, before I get out of bed, I write down my reason to stat sober for the day, but lately the reasons have been lousy at best. But reading about everyone’s struggles and successes has helped get me through this past month. So thank you all for the inspiration to keep going strong!

Anyone else seeing a huge failure at the administrative/leadership level at their respective hospitals? And/or a general “slacking off” of Covid precautions, even as cases are spiking again? My hospital is not testing surgical patients before their procedures which seems absurd to me because I think every single patient who is coming in for an elective surgery should be tested!

A friend of mine recently got selected for R2R with Accenture. Since she has 1 yr of experience qs a graduate trainee, seems the HR asked her to delete her work experience in the employment form.
Do Accenture not count the experience of a graduate trainee? Please advise since I don't have much knowledge about this.

Can a junior account management team run without a director level manager (or a head of accounts/client services)? My leadership doesn’t believe our account management department needs a senior leader and only believes in hiring juniors, giving them five plus clients and leaving the training on other teams. Our AMs never last more than a few months and quit or get fired.

I learned from my directors when I was an AM at other agencies and it baffles me that this is an issue 🤦‍♂️

Has anyone ever encountered a moment when your set of ideas just don’t make the cut because you’re not heavily influenced by the brand or the culture and tradition that the brand relates to? I find myself having a difficult time with ideating for deeply-rooted local brands but for regional and international clients, my ideas work really well. Asking as I was offered an ACD position, won’t be handling any local account but worried if I take it and a local account does fall into my lap, then IDK.

I am looking into buying a place in Queens and while a coop is affordable for me, many of them need renovations. I looked up online about renovation costs in nyc and saw that basic renovations started from $100 per sqft. That means if I buy a coop of 600 sqft which may cost around $350k, I’ll need to at least spend $60k to renovate it?! That sounds like a lot to me. Could someone who did basic renovations recently share their experiences?
