I know someone who did that after 2 years in PA. He left the firm in 2015, but he still hasn’t gotten into medical school yet. I think he had to go back to school and needed to volunteer/get experience for his application.

I have a friend from EY Richmond who switched a year after doing tax at EY. He's happy with his career change although he hasn't yet started his job still training/volunteering to start in 2 months.

I know someone who did that as well. She’s a very successful nurse now.

Didn’t finish my Coding Bootcamp in time and won’t get the certificate of completion.. what to do next? I’ve heard employers don’t acknowledge those types of certifications. Does anyone know of any truth to that? Also, advice on next steps? I finished most of the course and just didn’t finish the final project in time.

Would you be willing to take a demotion for more money?

My boss keeps saying cryptic things that has me feeling like I am at risk of being laid off. Funny enough, today a friend reached out to me about an in-house position at her company. It seems ok and there is a chance I would be able to get a $5k or so raise in pay, but the position would be a huge title demotion for me from a mid-level strategist with 6 yrs experience to more entry-level coordinator role. Is it worth it?

Did I make a mistake for asking a sick day off too “early”?

I was working til late evening and didn’t feel well the whole day. Gave my manager a heads up that I’m not feeling well + requested to take a day off the next day - and all she said was to see if I still feel unwell the next day, then yeah I can.
